Carlos Vargas brings decades of distinguished experience in financial markets to his role as Chairman. His career reflects a rare combination of deep institutional expertise and entrepreneurial conviction — having built, led, and successfully exited a broker-dealer while shaping major capital markets transactions across two countries.
Mr. Vargas has served in senior trading and investment banking capacities at leading banks and independent investment dealers, where he managed proprietary trading desks with responsibility for risk, positioning, and performance across volatile market environments. His command of fixed income, equities, and structured products gave him a formidable foundation in capital allocation and market dynamics.
As an investment banker, Mr. Vargas has played principal roles — including structuring and bookrunning — on transactions across mining, healthcare, biotechnology, and technology sectors in both the United States and Canada. His cross-border fluency has enabled clients to access capital markets on both sides of the 49th parallel, navigating regulatory and investor landscapes with equal facility.
